Wallbox not compatible – what now?

If your wallbox is not supported by us, it cannot be controlled directly.
This affects features such as automatic charging based on electricity prices, PV surplus charging, or charging schedules.

Is there another way to control it?

Yes – in many cases, you can integrate the vehicle directly instead of the wallbox.

Vehicle integration

Depending on the manufacturer, the following functions are possible:

  • Tesla
    → Dynamic adjustment of charging power (e.g., for PV surplus charging)
  • Other manufacturers (e.g., BMW, VW, etc.)
    → Starting and stopping the charging session is possible
    → No fine-grained power control

👉 Important: The range of functions always depends on the vehicle and the respective interface.

What else can you do?

You have two other options:

1. Test the connection yourself (OCPP – Beta)

If your wallbox supports OCPP, you can try to connect it yourself.

Important note:

  • No support
  • Functionality not guaranteed
  • Potential instability

👉 Recommended for technically experienced users only.

2. Change hardware (recommended)

For reliable use, we recommend a supported wallbox.

Proven models:

  • easee (all models)
  • go-e Charger (all models)

This enables:

  • Automatic control
  • Stable connection
  • Optimized charging (e.g., PV surplus)

Which wallboxes are not compatible?

The following manufacturers and models are currently not supported:

  • ASS Wallbox
  • Senec Wallbox
  • SMA EV Charger / SMA eCharger
  • ABL (eMH1, eMH1 Basic, eMH2, eMH3, eMH3 Twin, eM4, eM4 Single, eM4 Twin)
  • Tesla Wall Connector
  • Elli Wallbox (Volkswagen)
  • Mercedes-Benz Wallbox
  • Audi Wallbox
  • Porsche Wallbox
  • BMW Wallbox
  • E.ON Drive Wallbox
  • EnBW Wallbox
  • Shell Recharge Wallbox
  • BP Pulse Home Charger
  • Huawei Wallbox
  • SolarEdge Wallbox

👉 This list includes many common providers that are currently not integrated.

Limitation: Modbus is not supported

Wallboxes that are controlled only via Modbus (RTU or TCP) are not compatible.

Only the following are supported:

  • OCPP (limited / Beta)
  • Direct API integrations

Conclusion
